The Million Meals Challenge is our mission to help feed the dogs, cats, and pets across America that are facing hunger. Every time someone purchases our paperback cookbook, one dollar ($1) goes toward providing at least 10 meals for animals in need. Real nourishment in real bowls for the furry companions who need it most. Beyond that, we donate pet food and supplies from our Tipstor® Pet Food Bank all year long to animal shelters and rescue centers, reaching those animals who might otherwise go without. It’s more than a goal—it’s a promise to stand with our four-legged neighbors, one meal at a time.

THE RISING NEED FOR FOOD BANKS

We know that hunger doesn’t discriminate, and it affects pets in every community across the United States. Factors like rising costs of living, pet care expenses, and housing instability can leave families with empty cupboards and empty pet bowls. When faced with tough financial situations, many pet owners are forced to make the heartbreaking choice between buying their own food or feeding their beloved dogs and cats.

Recent economic shifts have exacerbated the problem. As costs for pet food and veterinary care rise, animal shelters are seeing a staggering influx of surrenders. It is estimated that millions of pets are at risk of being displaced or undernourished due to financial strain on their families. Our feedback from local shelters indicates that demand for pet food assistance has increased by over 55% in recent years, as more people struggle to keep their pets fed and at home.
