Times are tough, but together we can take on any challenge. We stand with our Fellows.
Film Independent, through its Emergency Filmmaker Support Fund, will provide grants to Film Independent Fellows whose livelihoods have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants range from $500 to $5,000 to offer immediate relief.
Priority will be given to those dealing with immediate health issues, maintaining households, and individuals from marginalized communities, followed by filmmakers who have projects in post-production. Special consideration will be given to those who can, in turn, provide or sustain employment opportunities for others.
Applications & Funding
We have completed our initial round of funding through the Emergency Filmmaker Support Fund and grant recipients have been notified.
Applications are closed at this time, but we are continuing to fundraise (see below) so we can reopen EFSF applications in the near future. If you applied and did not receive funding, and you meet eligibility requirements, you will still be under consideration for a grant when the application reopens and we will notify you if we need an update on your submission at that time.
